Who are we:
The Canadian Foster Family Association is a national organization incorporated in 1987 with a mandate to speak as a collective voice for foster families throughout the country. Its primary goal is to enhance the quality of care provided to children in Canada.
Our Mission Statement:
The CFFA is a national organization that works in collaboration with the provincial and territorial foster family associations and other national organizations involved with children and youth in care to enhance foster care across Canada.
ASSOCIATION OBJECTIVES
- To create public awareness of the role and contributions of foster families in Canada;
- To unite provincial and territory foster parent organizations throughout Canada to facilitate the effective resolution of common issues and concerns;
- To provide on-going support to member organizations;
- To work in collaboration and partnership with Health Canada and other Federal Government departments for the enhancement of the foster care system in Canada.
FOSTER FAMILY WEEK 2008
Will be celebrated throughout Canada the THIRD(3 rd) FULL WEEK in October
October 19 – October 25, 2008
This is a time for Foster Families to be recognized for their dedication and commitment to the foster children/youth they care for across our Country.
